Terms of Service

Effective August 30, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Debate Arena (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Free Service

The Site is provided free of charge for lawful educational, informational, and entertainment purposes.

3. Use at Your Own Risk

You use the Site entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your debates, research, submissions, links, conduct, devices, and legal compliance. Research and knowledge-base content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or provided by third parties. Independently verify information before relying on it.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit and grant the Site owner a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process it as needed to operate and secure the Site. You represent that you have the right to submit it.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not break the law; harm others; infringe rights; distribute malware; spam, scrape, overload, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Site; bypass controls; test vulnerabilities without written authorization; gain unauthorized access; destroy data; steal credentials; conduct denial-of-service activity; or assist anyone in doing so.

6. Third-Party Sources

The Site may link to third-party content. The owner does not control or endorse it and is not responsible for its accuracy, security, legality, availability, or practices.

7. No Professional Advice

The Site does not provide legal, medical, financial, academic, cybersecurity, or other professional advice.

8. Security and Data Loss

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” Secure, uninterrupted, error-free operation is not guaranteed. Data may be changed, corrupted, lost, deleted, hacked, or unavailable. Keep independent backups; the Site is not a backup service.

9. Warranties and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner and creator disclaim all warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages and loss of profits, opportunities, reputation, content, or data arising from use, misuse, hacking, outages, security incidents, third-party content, or inability to use the Site. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Site owner, creator, contributors, hosts, and providers from claims and costs arising from your content, misuse, unlawful conduct, rights violations, or breach of these Terms.

11. Changes and Termination

The Site, features, storage, availability, and these Terms may change, be limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice. Access may be terminated for misuse, security, legal, or operational reasons.

12. General

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited and the remainder will continue. These are general terms and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.
